In commemoration of the spirit and traditions of Monsieur and Madame Jeanneret comes this line of fine timepieces for ladies. Each watch is created with the finest materials including semi-precious stones and soft mother-of-pearl dials. Jeanneret features undeniable dependlability and strength ln constructing these timepieces with water resistance and case/bracelet materials usually not found in most other ladies dress watch lines. HISTORY: In the northwestern section of Switzerland sits a region referred to as "Watch Valley" where cities like Neuchatel and Geneva that have gained prestige for legendary watchmaking craftmanship for decades. In the middle of it rests the town of St. Imier. By 1866, this town had its own group of watchmakers. One of them was a man by the name of Jules Frederic Jeanneret. Although it would be a few more years before J. F. Jeanneret would be fully recognized, the company flourished under the direction of Jules and Madame Jeanneret. After Jules' death in 1889, Madame Jeanneret continued to operate the company for another six years. In 1902 she turned the firm over to Samuel who immediately transferred all of his predecessor's watch designs and trademarks to his name. STATEMENT: |
